CIM (The Institute of Marketing)
The Chartered Institute of Chartered Marketing
is the UK based world's larget organisation for professional marketers.
For more than 100 years. CIM has been supporting, representing and
developing markers, teams, leaders and the profession as a whole. CIM
was founded as the Sales Managers' Association in 1911 and it was
incorporated as ISMA. In 1928, CIM held its first professional exams. In
1960 ISMA changed its name to the institute of Marketing and Sales
Management, and in 1968 it became the institute of Marketing. CIM has
been recognising professional excellence by awarding Chartered status
from 1998. CIM exists to develop both the marketing and sales
profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of
marketing and sales practitioners, enabling them to deliver exceptional
results in the organisations.
